Wow, thanks for all the wonderful emails and comments about block 1.......amazing....I am so thrilled that you all love it!! There has been a lot of stitching in blog land and here are a few
This is Monika's
and this is Johanna's
and if you go here to Maike, here to Christine and also to May Britt you will see more finished blocks...wow so quick!!!.
a big THANK YOU also to everyone who has posted a link back to my blog....I really appreciate it.
If you look to the left you will see a photo of block one, feel free to use it on your blog if you can figure it out (Jarrod did mine). Also there is a bit more info about the quilt as I have had a few questions. I have finished the last few blocks today...it is very tempting to post block 2 already but I will be good and wait until Feb ....
I have also taken advantage of holiday time to work on my Friendships Garden quilt, this is the middle block
and to also start this
it's the "Little Neighborhood" that I saw on Nicky's blog and I just love it...I will see how far I get before I need to put it away and concentrate on work.
That's all for now
THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your support for A Christmas Wish....
Gail
Gail, Your block is too pretty to resist so none of us could! I'm enjoying stitching away on mine and can't wait to see it finished.

I too purchased Little Neighbourhood after seeing it on Nicky's blog. I love it but feel guilty starting it as I have many UFO's that I should do first. The biggest one being Leanne's Butterfly Garden Quilt BOM which I have now received #8 and have only started #1!!! I need it finished to take to NZ for my Mum's 70th May 1st this year. Aaarrgghhhh!! Some words of encouragement please. Thanks for the free BOM too. Best wishes. xx Sue

Just wanted to say thank you so much for this BOM. I am on a very tight crafting budget so your BOM has been the perfect project to take to the Christmas Club that I belong to. I finished off the first block at the club last night (and I think there are a few of the girls that will be joining in - they all loved it!)

Catch up soon,
Nicky

I have a question about the BOM blocks. I just found your blog through Leslie at My Country Home. I would like to start this project. My question is: what do you use to trace the pattern onto the fabric? Is it a permanent tracing or does it wash away? I have never done any tracing like this before so I don't know what to use. Thanks.
