Here is the first block for the 9 part free BOM. I have had a few questions so I will give you all some more info.
the centre stitchery square is cut at 5 1/2" you will need 9!!
there are 5 red blocks and 4 green blocks.....of course you can change to suit!
Each block is a wreath with a word in the centre.
The sashings and border will be made up of 2 1/2" squares
there will be no extra borders unless you want to make it bigger!!!
the finished size will be 32" x 32" approx.
All the borders are the same as the first. ( I have now changed my mind and added a 2 inch (cut) border to the finished quilt, it now measures 35" x 35")
I have stitched white flowers in blocks 2,4,6 and 8 so if possible use a cream or beige background (no problem if you have already used white fabric, just change the floss colour to beige or dark cream! or even a pale yellow)
All stitching is done in 2 threads and I have not backed my fabric with anything but feel free to use weaveline or any other stabiliser. (remember its your quilt!!!)
Thanks for the pattern Gail its lovley of you to do this for every one.
I am a definte starter and cant wait to see how everyone goes with it wouldnt it be interesting to see how they all work out in September?
Regards DebH

Dear Gail
I have added the logo to my blog. Cut out all the fabric for the centre of the blocks today and marked out the first design. Thanks for the extra info as I was trying to decide what fabric to use around the blocks. Now I know exactly what to use from my stash. Thanks Noela
